Prior to being the one of the founding members of the ARTEMUS Group, Steve was the Chief Operating Officer of WTS Agencies, a private shipping services company offering back office agency services, software, systems, training and staffing services to the shipping, maritime and international trade community.
From 2000 through 2001, Steve was the Senior Vice President of Shipping Services for Inchcape, an international shipping services company headquartered in London.
Prior to joining Inchcape, Steve spent from 1993 through 2000 with Australia – New Zealand Direct Line (ANZDL). Steve was Director of Customer Service, Quality, Training and E-commerce. Steve worked in Sydney, Australia from 1997 until his move to Inchcape. During his time in Australia, the ANZDL Australia division was the first Shipping organization to be recognized for the Australian Quality Award (AQA). ANZDL received this award in 1998 and again in 2000. During his time in Australia, ANZDL won 4 of its 7 consecutive customer service awards for outstanding customer service in the shipping industry (Lloyd’s List Awards).
Prior to his time in the maritime industry, Steve worked in the hospitality industry as a General Manager for restaurant, banquet facilities and entertainment venues.
Steve has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Azusa Pacific University in California and has been a California Quality Award Examiner as well as an Australian Quality Award Examiner and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Tidewater Roundtable of Business Leaders.
